THE WORLD'S RICHEST RACE ON TURF - THE TAB EVEREST
The TAB Everest in Australia is the richest turf race in the world, with a total of $20 million (AUD) in prize money, and a winner's purse of $7 million.
A weight-for-age sprint contested over 6 furlongs, The Everest is now the crown jewel of Sydney's Everest Spring Racing Carnival, and the $20 million prize pool sees it surpass the iconic Melbourne Cup ($8 million) as the richest Australian horse race. The magnificent Everest Carnival runs for 9 weeks, beginning Friday night 15 September and ending Friday night 10 November, and the best horses in Australia will race for purses totalling an eye-watering $82 (AUD) million.
The Everest will be broadcast live on FanDuel TV Friday night, October 13 (US date/time) and is also available to live stream at skyracingworld.com or via the SRW Live Racing App. First Post: 9:30pm ET / 6:30pm PT.
The final 12-horse field for the 2023 Everest is not yet confirmed as Slot holders are still deciding on which horses to engage.
